“Acceptable” Casualties

Check out a newly released t-shirt called “Aceptable” Casualty. What does it mean?

Acceptable Casualties is a common military euphemism. Many United States citizens feel as if their lives don't matter to other people, especially living in the middle of a pandemic. The rhetoric and ideologies from other people make certain demographics feel like if they were to pass from Covid, they would be considered an "acceptable" casualty by people on the other side of the political spectrum.

This includes not only people who are high risk of having bad outcomes with Covid (like the immunocompromised), but also non-Covid related such as Black Lives, LGBTQ+ lives, Indigenous lives, school-aged children’s lives, people with disabilities, people living in poverty, the elderly, and anyone who is a member of a marginalized or oppressed community in America.

Many people wonder if they'll ever feel protected. The judicial system is slow. Often times, it takes the legal system years to catch up with current events. Currently, many people feel as if they're being stomped on.

Which is why we need to take a stand and make a statement together. Vote blue in 2022, unified as a giant blue wave.
