ABOUT OUR FOUNDER.

Hi, I’m Jen, founder of A Blue Dot in a Red State. I am a passionate advocate for liberal and progressive values. As an ex-Republican (I know, it's embarassing at this point!), I underwent a transformative journey that led me to embrace inclusivity, diversity, and social justice. Although my journey began many years before Trump was elected, the evangelical support of Trump their horrific behavior during the pandemic really opened my eyes. I woke up, so to speak.

I’m a graphic designer, and I started this store so that I can use my skills to make a difference, amplify our voices, and counteract Republicans’ intolerance of anything that doesn’t conform to their narrow worldview. By championing diversity, equality, and empowerment, we’re building a community that rejects intolerance and oppression. Join us in creating a world where compassion, empathy, and justice prevail.

Located in Tennessee, we understand first hand being a blue dot in a red state. We've witnessed firsthand the impact of oppressive politics in our communities.

Our t-shirts are eco-friendly, made with 100% airlume combed and ringspun cotton, and are dyed with eco-friendly dyes.
Our hoodies are eco-friendly, made with an 1104% reduction in water intensity, cotton that is ethically harvested and sustainably grown, and made with a thick cotton to lock in warmth.
