We have a nifty little federal law called The Johnson Amendment of 1954 which specifically states that 501(c)(3) organizations are prohibited from engaging with any sort of politics or promoting any political candidate. However, evangelical churches believe they're above the law, so they preach politics from the pulpit and promote Republican politics. 

They need to lose their tax-free status.
